A family of five was returning to Austin from San Francisco where they had lived for many years. The husband and wife had different aesthetic tastes and MHD was able to find pieces that appealed to them both. Marla worked with a contractor to add an additional floor to the home and created a music room/recording studio and lounge, and found ways to bring light and nature inside the home. Marla took risks and scouted interesting vintage furniture, pulling it all together in a way that made everyone happy. This project was like a
geode; simple white limestone on the outside, but inside it was full of color and energy.
