A lively and active family from Austin Texas came to MHD to create their home sanctuary. The goal was to make a positive and elegant space for their family to gather. Marla artfully composed a mix of traditional and contemporary pieces to fulfill the atmosphere. A vintage chandelier hand-selected from Paris illuminated the dining room at night, and the expansive windows allowed light during the day. With a focus on color to uplift the senses, Marla selected blue kitchen tiles and bright butterfly artwork. The industrial coffee table was found as an old local cart, and together with the handwoven Turkish rug from the MHD line, a petrified and fossilized stump, and the blue velvet sofa, the living room acquired flavor and comfort. This project masterfully conjoined far away places with elegance, light, and the comfort of a family sanctuary.
