Allaire Studios was built in a stunning 1928 home on an 85-acre estate in the Catskill Mountains, two hours north of NYC. The scale was enormous. The client, a musician himself, owns one of the largest musical instrument collections in the world, and wanted to turn his home into a recording studio.

At its peak, Allaire Studios was considered the top destination recording studio in the world, attracting musicians like David Bowie, My Morning Jacket, The Strokes and Norah Jones, who recorded her Grammy winning album there and whose song, Come Away With Me, was inspired by the location. The studio had a dining hall that seated a hundred, an indoor basketball court, walk-in fireplaces and beautiful antique furniture. Being there felt like stepping back in time.
